Miklos and Moore Act as Speakers and Moderators at the 39th AAGL Global Congress of Minimally Invasive Gynecology

November 2010 ~ Las Vegas, Nevada

Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore recently traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada as speakers and moderators at the 39th AAGL Global Congress of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. The AAGL Global Congress has over 1600 physicians meeting to discuss and share their techniques in providing the finest patient care through minimally invasive gynecology.

As a respected member of the AAGL, Dr. Miklos was invited by the congress to moderate a course that provided a controversial discussion regarding the use of mesh or non-mesh therapy for the treatment of uterine vaginal prolapses. The key objectives were to identify the risks and benefits of mesh therapy and to review any potential complications with either method.

In an open communication in Urogynecology Dr. Moore presented new data from he and Dr Miklos' Center in Atlanta regarding the novel single incision vaginal approach to treat cystocele and vault prolapse. This is the FIRST one year data to be presented on this newer technique in the world. (Click here for more information). He was also asked to Co-chair a symposium with surgeons from the Cleveland Clinic and the University of NC on new technology in prolapse surgery including Laparoscopic Sacralcolpopexy and minimally invasive vaginal mesh repairs. Dr Moore was the lead speaker at this symposium Towards the end of the week, Dr. Moore was a contributor in an additional Open Communication on Urogynecology covering Elevate Apical and Posterior in patients with Vaginal Wall Prolapse.

Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore continue to share their experiences and knowledge with their peers, to ensure that the quality of patient care is not lost with the advancements in surgical techniques. Their dedication to their patients is why they are known as Master Surgeons.
