VESICOVAGINAL FISTULA EXPERTS SINCE 1997

In the last 9 months Drs Miklos & Moore have operated laparoscopically on 10 patients with vesicovaginal fistulas with a 100% success rate.

Drs Miklos & Moore have been performing laparoscopic vesicovaginal fistula (VVF) repairs since 1997. This can be proven by clicking here - showing two of the first papers ever written (1997 & 1999) on the laparoscopic repair of bladder fistulas. In the last 9 months Drs Miklos & Moore have operated laparoscopically on 10 patients with vesicovaginal fistulas with a 100% success rate.

On March 9th & 16th, 2010 we will be performing 2 more laparoscopic vesicovaginal fistula repairs at Northside Hospital in Atlanta GA. This will be a grand total of 12 vesicovaginal fistula repairs in 11 months. There are few surgeons in the world who can say they have performed 1 laparoscopic VVF repair in their lifetime. On March 16th 2010 our vesicovaginal fistula repair patient is flying here from her home state of Hawaii where unfortunately she has failed 3 other vesicovaginal treatments. We hope and pray her surgery is a success as we do with all of our patients’ surgeries.

WHO SHOULD DO YOUR VESICOVAGINAL FISTULA (VVF) REPAIR ?

Dr Miklos & Dr Moore estimate they perform more laparoscopic vesicovaginal fistula surgeries than 99% of surgeons in the USA.

There exists professional jealousy in all profession and fistula repair surgery does not go unscathed. We encourage all patients with vesicovaginal fistulas, bladder fistulas, or vesicouterine fistulas to choose their surgeons wisely by doing their due diligence. Your choices of surgeon should be based upon his skill, surgical experience, expertise and results. Go to a surgeon who other surgeons send their fistulas to. There are just not that many fistulas in the USA that would give every surgeon the chance to hone their skills and therefore not every surgeon can be an expert. Very few surgeons perform even 1 or 2 VVF repairs in a lifetime. Dr Miklos & Dr Moore estimate they perform more laparoscopic VVF surgeries than 99% of surgeons in the USA. In 2009 & 2010 patients have been referred to Dr Miklos & Dr Moore by Urologists, Gynecologists, and Gynecologic Oncologists.
