Miklos and Moore World Surgical Tour 2011 - Russia

After being the International Featured Speakers and Surgeons at the AGES meeting in Australia from June 3rd-6th, Dr. Miklos and Moore then continued on their World Surgical Tour and travelled to Moscow, Russia where they were invited by Professor Leila Adamyan, Head Specialist of Ob/Gyn of the Russian Federation to be the Featured Visiting International Guest Surgeons and Professors at the XXIV International Congress on New Technologies for Diagnosis and Treatment of Gynecologic Diseases which was held in Moscow Russia from June 6th-9th, 2011. The meeting is the largest gynecological surgery meeting in Russia and this year over 900 surgeons travelled from throughout Russia to see some of the best surgeons in the world operate and lecture.

Dr. Miklos and Moore have been honored to be part of this distinguished faculty for many years. Dr. Adamyan and the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, compile a world renowned International Faculty that included some of the best Laparoscopic Surgeons including Arnoud Wattiez (France, President ESGE), Mario Malzoni (Italy), Antonio Setubal (Portugal), Phillipe Konincckx (Belgium), Enda McVeigh (England- Oxford Univ) and other internationally known surgeons.

This year's meeting was co-sponsored by the American Association of Gyn Laparoscopists, as well as, the European Society of Gyn Endoscopists. Surgeons from throughout the Russian Federation attend this annual meeting to learn about the latest research and techniques in the field of Gyn Surgery, including Laparoscopic Pelvic and Vaginal Reconstruction techniques. Dr. Miklos and Moore were the featured Urogynecologists at the meeting. They lectured and completed live surgery for over 900 visiting surgeons in the audience. They completed 5 live surgeries for the audience and demonstrated Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, Laparoscopic Sacralcolpopexy, MiniArc Sling for SUI, Anterior Elevate Vaginal Mesh Procedure, and Posterior Vaginal Mesh for Rectocele.

While in Moscow, Dr. Miklos and Moore were honored for their contribution to the Congress and their contribution to the field of minimally invasive vaginal reconstructive surgery at the Faculty Dinner at Professor Adamyan's house and the Gala Dinner Celebration at the famous Metropol Hotel. While in Moscow the Russian Federation brought them on tours of Red Square, the Kremlin, KGB Headquarters and other famous historic spots.

From Moscow Dr. Moore continued on to Toronto Canada to finish the World Surgical Tour of 2011… New Zealand, Australia, Russia and Canada all in under two weeks!
